Making your Web Space Secure

Should you wish to make your web space secure in order to produce an E-commerce site, please find instructions below:

• Contact hosting@domainnamesgb.com and ask us to produce a certificate request from the server.
• We will then email you with the request.
• Once you have the request, you will need to go to either www.thawte.com or www.verisign.com and apply for a SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
• You will then need to send the SSL to us.
• Once we have received this, we install the SSL on your web space to make this secure.
• You may need to change pages within your website that use the SSL. Any links referenced in the secure area must begin https:// or ../ and NOT http:// as any pages that begin just http:// will show as an unsecured link from the secure area.
