A1.
Domain names are addresses used for the Internet. They enable
other Internet users to access your web site. Each country
has a different ending to their domain names - for example,
UK domain names end with .uk, whereas Australian names end
in .au.
A2. Buying a .com or .co.uk is the most
popular choice as these are the better known domain names.
An Internet user who has forgotten the extension of a particular
company will generally a .com or .co.uk first, so DomainNamesGB.com
recommends purchasing both if they are available. This increases
the likelihood of a user hitting your site first time.
A3. Many domain names have already been
taken by companies or individuals, so you may wish to search
for slight deviations on your requested domain names. Try
using hyphens or initials to find a free domain name that
is relevant to you.
A4.
Yes, you are the owner of your domain name. When you purchase a domain name from DomainNamesGB.com, you are buying the license to use that name for two years.
After this period you have the option to re-register and
continue with the use of the domain name. Other registration
companies may charge the same amount or more - but will only
register the name for one year - so beware!
A5.
The only way to secure a place for the future of your brand
on the internet is to register your domain name now - before
a rival company beats you to it! Some individuals even purchase
domain names in bulk, only to sell them on at a later date
- for a massive profit. DomainnameGB.com recommends buying
all the main extensions for your domain name, so that potential
customers are sure to find your site as quickly and easily
as possible.
A6.
No. When you purchase a domain name from DomainNamesGB.com,

your domain names is due for renewal. You will receive reminders via post and email. Please ensure you keep us updated with any changes to this information.
A9. If you would prefer to keep your existing
email account, DomainNamesGB.com can forward mail from your
new address to your existing one. There is a charge of £5 per annum
for this service for 2 years. Please make a note on your registration
