A1. Domain names are addresses used for the Internet. They enable other Internet users to access your web site. Each country has a different ending to their domain names - for example, UK domain names end with .uk, whereas Australian names end in .au.

Some individuals even purchase domain names in bulk, only to sell them on at a later date - for a massive profit. A6. No. When you purchase a domain name from DomainNamesGB.com, it belongs to you - any advertising space you wish to use on your site is completely within your control.

A7. You are free to move your domain name at any time. However, due to our low costs and high standards in customer support, we are certain you will remain a satisfied, long-term customer. DomainNamesGB.com makes no charge for TAG transfers, or amendments made to your domain name. If you do switch to another domain name registration site, we always recommend that you read the small print, as many do charge for such basic services.

A8. DomainNamesGB.com will send you a reminder 6 weeks before your domain names is due for renewal. You will receive reminders via post and email. Please ensure you keep us updated with any changes to this information.

A9. If you would prefer to keep your existing email account, DomainNamesGB.com can forward mail from your new address to your existing one. There is a charge of £5 per annum for this service for 2 years. Please make a note on your registration form if you would prefer email forwarding.

A10. If you currently have a web site through your ISP e.g. freespace.virgin.net/yourname/ we can point your new domain name at this site. This means that when someone types in www.yournewdomainname.com, they will automatically be re-directed to your existing site.

A11. We understand that, during our association, you may change email address or DNS address, if you do wish to change, simply email support@DomainNamesGB.com and we will implement the changes free of charge.

A12. In the UK you can pay up to £250 for a basic domain name - and people do pay this! At DomainNamesGB.com, however, we want to build lasting relationships with our customers, and provide them with the full benefits of the GB service. We provide telephone support for all customer enquiries, matched with email support from 7am until 11pm. We have set out to be competitive and sensibly priced, offering varying degrees of service and options depending on YOUR requirements. We aim simply to offer a high quality service at a reasonable price with NO hidden costs.

A14. If your site is not showing please check that you have named your homepage either index.htm or default.htm. Also ensure that you delete the files named index.asp and default.asp which are already in your webspace, as they will prevent your site from showing if not removed.
